Four sent to
hospital after sofas at condo void deck catch
fire
SINGAPORE - A fire broke out at the void deck of a condominium
on Saturday (Oct 28) afternoon, resulting in four people being
taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call
about the fire at Bartley Ridge, a condominium at 42 Mount Vernon
Rd, at 1.10pm.
The blaze, which involved several sofas that were at the void deck,
was extinguished by the SCDF with two water jets.
"Due to the fire, units at the second floor sustained smoke and
heat damage," said an SCDF spokesman.
SCDF is investigating the cause of fire.
