How does the beh kim (wreath fund) come about in the past? Does
anyone know?
Was it bec people were poor then, so relatives and friends make a
contribution to help out with expenses of the funeral? If that's
the reason, then it seems to be a kind of outdated practice?
I do contribute it but give a token sum only, since it's not like
the family really needs money. But some ppl think that we shd
contribute a lot more if it's for close relatives. What do you
think?
