officially U are not allowed to have other unregistered people staying with U in ur hostel room...but as mentioned above...permission can be sought(may or may not be approved)....another concern is whether ur roommate will mind...if she does...then U have a problem....even if she doesnt....permission might not be granted if U have more than 1 friend staying over at any one time...so that's something U need to think about.

Friends for visits are ok, but no overnighters allowed. They can come visit in the day till late evening but cannot stay overnight.

They may like to request for temp. guest rooms if available. Mr. Green

Yes...her English seem a bit weird....at some instances, I thought it was just like Singapore English....either she adopted a different English for this forum only....or.....?

Yes I'm in Canada and I haven't used an ah lian or de la (which I'm not sure what it means). I just read on the forums and adopt the lingos used. For example, Canadians would use the term residence for on-campus accomodations, but I just used halls since I've seen enough people use that term so might as well make the nomenclature constant.

I've been told I might have a hard time understanding singapore english, I guess they are wrong Smile
