Think they tax only if your income is more than 2K a month which is 24K a year.

Not only that, according to statistics from "official" sources, a huge bulk of Singaporeans don't need to pay tax. Which means a huge bulk of Singaporeans don't earn 2K a month.

it's rather confusing. though i noe i'm confirmed below the taxable bracket of ppl, but i dunno:

1) 20k or 22k
2) count ur pay after cpf, right?

last year, after i bloody put in my taxes at bloody 5am in the morning, because of the same bloody problem of not being able to log on during normal hours, IRAS had the audacity to attempt to fine me for "not filing taxes"

well, when i went there, they didn't even attempt to ask any questions and filed it in for me.. waived the fine, waved me off.. i got it out from them that their "computer breakdown"

It is normal lah. Spore gahmen agencies most IT systems are outsourced to companies like NCS and some other MNCs etc... Break down is common. Recently I thot there is also one gahmen system cannot handle the load breakdown? MOE that time apply for admission also same rite?

Breakdown of IT systems are common nowadays. Reason is users are asking for too many features unlike the COBOL days when there are limitation on what can be achieved. With current technology, users expect more and with more flexibility comes complexity.

Reason is the same with those electrical products. Last time electrical appliances break down can repair easily now it break down more easily and is harder to repair becuz of the more complicated circuitry within.

if i'm not wrong,after ur income above 20000 den need to pay 3.75% for the next 10000 till 30k..

u calculate ur assessable income - ur earn income relief of 1k ba..if are below 55 that is and physically abled.. Laughing

When i open them, the cash are inside already. Along with some instructions.

Anyway, ya, IRAS told me it depends on the tax treaty between singapore and the other country. If there is no avoidance of double taxation treaty, then i need to pay both sides.

but lucky i got treaty.
