Many years ago, I witnessed what the act of accelerating and
then braking in front of an offending vehicle can cause.
I was in the middle lane, then driving a car, and I saw this Honda
accord speeding up and cutting in infront a Taxi on the 1st lane (
the overtaking lane ) on the PIE towards Changi somewhere along
Eunos. The Honda then applied emergency brake. As a result, the
Taxi had to jam his brakes as well. Unfortunately, an overtaking
motorcyclist could not stop in time, and slammed into the Taxi's
left rear. The motorcyclist flew off his machine, fell in front of
my car and rolled on the road for some several meters, while i was
pumping my brakes all the time trying hard not to run him over and
preventing vehicles behind from colliding into me.
The Taxi was tailgating the Honda. So, do you people think it's a
good thing to do, by jamming brake in retaliation?
I say it is a thoughtless and selfish act.
