Can we think out of the box for a moment? Going to JC doesn't
mean it's a privilege of the clever tribe, going to ITE colleges
doesn't mean they are poor in academics and have no other options,
going to poly doesn't mean they are not as good as the better
academics inclined.
Me's a poly guaduate from Ngee Ann. My L1R4 for my Os was 9, good
enough to go to JCs but me chose poly. In poly, me knew a few
friends that were from JCs and ITEs, and listening to their stories
can be aspiring. Of the JC friends me knew, they dropped out of the
JC and had to choose poly to further their studies (by the way, the
friend who dropped out was a straight As student in Os and were
from ACJC), and my friend from ITE was an average student in Os but
perserved in ITE and got enrolled into poly.
Academics results are just a gauge of knowledge, but in the end,
it's still up to the individuals to strive further.
