modding drum brakes to dics brakes

Hi guys, anyone know how much it cost to change rear drum brakes to disc? i'm driving imprezza 04'. Is it legal? thanks

Can be done.... and it will be perfectly legal as it further enhances the braking ability of your car. Which one are you thinking of changing to for brembo it will be $6000 for the full kit (price as quoted by autobac) and the orginal rex subaru brakes will be ard $2000 plus. Alternatively you can always go into rexfactor or subaruclub.sg to ask for second hand deals.... some of this are quite attractive in terms of pricing.... but of course it will be second hand

Dont do it... It not only voids the warranty, it voids the insurance as well.

Any tampering with the brakes is illegal, even changing from drum to higher performance disc brakes...

not quite leh prae. LTA got strict guidelines that even though the products are suited for the car (brembos) or even OEM (such as the rex brakes) u still gotta go through the paper work of proving to them that this is the case (by getting proper documentation of specifications from the aftermarket brake company) and spend money to have them installed at a LTA "recognized" workshop in order to pass inspections.

but if u go this route, u can still retain your warranty and insurance lor. anything the garmen give green light, the insurance companies and agent LL muz cover Wink

Mi say they dun do mods at all... which i find kinda crappy... thought all agents will do it as long as its legal.
i even ask if install Z-stab will affect warrenty, they never give me a definate answer, just say better dun do it while its still in warrenty

put amplifer in their own distributors, than warrenty still valid. I think just for e battery... :<
