well, in the end I think it depends on one's mindset, if you
have a prejudice against a subject, you'll never do well in it no
matter what the system eh ? be it math, chemistry, physics,
whatever ... unless you've a super brain, I don't think anyone can
remember every single thing taught to you before in school
...
and you can certainly pick up mandarin by yourself again if you're
so inclined eh ? ... it's amazing how much chinese words will come
back to you if you try to get back into it again, my Chinese
friends here are always sending me articles and links in chinese,
after a while you'll realise, hey ! I can read and understand
almost all of it ! ...
