It's not what you think. It's what they think. They think if you
take back your things, there goes the evidence. So you cannot take
back your things.
As this is not US, we don't have sophisicated computer forensics
tools. In US, they can literally copy everything into a ZIP disk
and bring to the police station and analyse. Here, we don't have.
They have to take everything back to analyse, which means basically
no chance of taking back. Even if can, it's most likely
destroyed.
