I'd advise you to be careful where you are going.

There are some anti Singapore protests currently because of the Shin Corp sale by Temasek.

Best keep a low profile if you want to go Bangkok and not tell people you are from Singapore. Laughing

hard to say man.. the bottled water are also sometimes not safe to drink cuz they reuse the water. this case always happen in china. best is if you buy from established shop.

I thought SIA having a promotion now with almost the same price for the air tickets ? Do check it out. I believe some Airlines with detour flights have cheaper tickets to Bangkok. It's hard to really recommend any stalls in particular.

Before you bargain, decide on how many piece you wish to get. It's better to have your selection on hand and bargain with it. Usually when you have big purchases, bargaining it easy. Like someone have said, you can get shirts at a low 50 baht with pretty good quality. When bargaining, always remember that you start with the lowest. The people won't give further discount even if you decide to buy more but after bargaining already.

It's safe to get bottled drinks from 7 Eleven and some shops. But road-side stall peddlers might sell self-bottled drinks. Canned drinks are relatively safe though.

if i m not wrong.... theres some sort of transsexual show u can watch..after u watch the show....u get to mingle with the transexxuals n take photo with them....i was there about 6 yrs ago..

if u want further discount
apply for the tourist visitor card got 10baht discount

quite worth it...coz most of the shopping malls and nite markets are accessible by BTS

Yea man..over there, the things they sell, cost way over the actual price, some, u can even bargain till the price is 70% cheaper than the stated price.

Not to forget, if u are above 18, go for the Thai-girl show..wahaha..nice nice Laughing

And streets hawker center are not really recommended. Cos it alot worse than the pasar malam in singapore. U can actually see rats running around.

always ask if the taxi has a meter before boarding it.

tup tup rides costs around 20 baht. reject them if they offer to bring you to "other" destinations. they'll just send you to some diamond factory that u won't be interested in.

if you're interested in nice cars, check siam paragon out. they have ferrari, lambo, maserati etc showrooms there.

try to slash prices by half when u start bargaining.

go to the upper levels of MBK for your DVD needs but the stuff there are rather ex compared to the other places.

siam square (opp MBK) is a nice place to shop at. lots of cute thai school girls there. Laughing
