Kids should stop dreaming about joining those superstar crap

Agenda SG · 2006-03-20T18:23:20+00:00

It's good to have dreams and a target to work hard towards, why only work hard towards studies?? why only all work and no play?? i'm excited about superband...

Agenda SG

You won't last long unless you were talent scouted off the streets.. You see, America's Next Top Model.. When Naima won 2 months back.. Now got new 1 coming out in a few weeks, Like that also song? And I don't see her as covergirl on any magazines here

Look at Taufik, 1 Album, 6 months of fame and the next Idol would come out and take over

Don't get me started on the Channel U superstar crap Evil or Very Mad

BonJovi SG

but kelly clarkson doing veri well lehhh..

euphratis SG

hving good voice & singing alone will not bring you very far....

all depends on connection & audience...

forget about Spore idiots... all hypes & money making gimmicks....... channel U superstar got a better chance of survive in the music industries.

Qing^.^ SG

Kelly Clarkson has a nice face and a great voice tt can capture heart and attention of ppl..

Perhaps Wei Lian would be able to do the same with blindness, since tts wat make him special..

No disrespect to handicaps, jus pointing his unique point Wink

BrUtUs SG

he might survive 2-3years in sg but the challenge is whether he can woo the taiwan and china ppl...

Qing^.^ SG

I tink he might be able to do it.. since i dun tink China or Taiwan has any notable blind singers around.. Rolling Eyes

Homecoming SG

dont waste your time kids. sg is not hollywood

The ones laughing all the way to the bank are the producers and mediacorp.

Stephanie Sun never had to go through some half-baked talent show before getting her fame and success.

Truth be told, if you wanna go into the music industry, this is just the short-cut.

After that, it's all up to you.

SexyChin SG

Those superstars shows are just a way for mediacorp to earn more money with less investment. Twisted Evil Teenagers' money are nice to con. Laughing

Close and ban. Rolling Eyes

Sounds like another thread by Chronicles.

ditzy SG

Stupid harry potter movies ruin lives. Laughing

UandMe SG

Even if those winners in singing competitions can't make it big in future, they would have made a small fortune from their contracts and endosements directly after winning. wat's so bad about that?

Taufik probably have earned an amount much more than if he were to be just a normal working person.

DrTech SG

I don't think it's whether you last long or not... it's whether the money you got was worth that time you spent... Very Happy

In the end, you still can choose to be an ordinary person...

stem_-_daimyou_asobi_hen SG

Confused seriously i see nothing wrong with this thread. the topic is constructive enough to be debate althought it's somewhat harsh. Idea

Remo Fernandez SG

I WHOLEHEARTLY AGREE

Deunamist SG

Agreed. Why join all these crap? Study hard and get that piece of paper more important than appearing on LIME front cover.

Agenda SG

Iveco is just jealous that his 10k post counts doesn't continue any intelligent posts while at least 1 of my 400 has one that is agreeable.. Somehow I just don't get why he hates me so much, Oh wait.. This is internet where guys are girls, girls are lesbians and children are the police Mr. Green

Itachi SG

i think superband would be nice.

Chelzea SG

Evil or Very Mad

iveco SG

Why should I be jealous of someone who sounds absolutely like Chronicles? Rolling Eyes

Trust me, Chronicles has many enemies. Search for all his topics if you don't believe.
