Subaru Impreza

Hey, anyone knows where i can rent an impreza? Not this current model, nor the bugeye before it. Is one model before the bugeye.

I'm thinking of getting it, but i wanna drive it around for 1-2 days before i make a decision, so if anyone knows where i can rent this particular impreza, let me know. Thanks!

Just curious.. why not test drive the one you are intending to buy? Confused

U mean Subaru GL 1.6 the one without AWD??

mercur|al SG

Bloop, i rather drive it more than the customary 5 minutes before i decide Razz

its this one btw, Prae.

Anyone has stats on it? There's no AWD?

Mr. Green I test drove my current car almost half a day all the way around to Jurong Industrial sector and all before I committed.

After all... it's how much you drive the car rather than how long you hold onto it that matters + you are getting a feel of the actual car you intend to buy. Just my 1/4 cent (my input isn't even worth 2 cents).

mercur|al SG

yeah, i’ll testdrive the exact car before i get it. hehe. woah, how did you test drive for so long?

Bloop... SG

was great... we stopped over at several canteens in parts of Singapore I never knew existed in ulu areas of Jurong for coffee and $ haggling all morning Very Happy

In the end I was familiar with just about every squeak and creak the car had.

mercur|al SG

was that the honda del sol?

Btw, anyone has any stats on this impreza?

Bloop... SG

yup... my beloved DelSol...

Which Impreza are you looking at?

mercur|al SG

check my previous post, there’s a link to it

Thats a 1.6l 2WD 4d right? Is it a GL or LX though?

Only thing I know about them, is that they are about 88bhp... (sorry... not a lot of info)

Praetorian111 SG

If i am not wrong it is only a front wheel drive... with drums at the back...
However I have seen alot of pple doing up the car into REX version 5-6 (as in the body kits) There are two at S11 teman jurong carpark. One appears to be a real rex and the other is this version 1.6

mercur|al SG

woah they're only 88bhp, and 2wd? i always thought it was 4wd. i think i liked it since the WRC days Razz

free4ever SG

Ya, the impreza is 2WD, only the TS model impreza is 4WD. Good for cornering but also add on a far bit of weight to the car.
By the way, it is a normal in-line 4, not boxer engine.
Very Happy

mercur|al SG

errr, okay, then its a lousy impreza Razz
just looks really pretty to me, heh.

the current TS still miles ahead then, with its boxer engine + AWD, though still sub 100 bhp.

With depreciation rate of S$602 per month, you can get the new impreza already, at 72k. Save up for the new car, I think it can last you 10years.

free4ever SG

hehe...fortunately still made in Japan, so should have no problem lasting 10 years or more...no offence to made-outside-Japan car owners.... Smile
