Recently, my baby cousin, only 3 years old, had taken to saying,
"STUPID" and making this...face.
And we asked her where she learnt it from. Her answer? "TV."
Now we had limited her time on TV but just yesterday, my maid told
me. "You know, Maya, came to me this afternoon and said this "You
don't love me, you love only Weiling didi." and I said, "No. Who
bath you, who tie your hair, who bring you to school? Me right? But
I never do for Weiling didi!" and then Maya smiled and went away
happily"
Maya is the name of my cousin and Weiling is my name and Weiling
didi means Weiling Sister coz' our religion is Nepalese, don't ask,
and then I remember this show....forgot the name..that says, "You
don't love me! You love her because you do this...." and so
on.
I am worried about this as I feel that whatever the TV impart to
her, she remember-and do it.
Plus the fact that some TV shows have the "Shut up" which we don't
want her to learn as we want her to be a kind young lady when she
grow up. PLEASE DON'T LAUGH AT THIS. And I hear the word, "IDIOT"
quite often too.
I know this sound lame but are the TV shows safe for kids to watch
nowadays?
