I saw something happen long time back on the MRT. this guy who sitting opp a lady was fiddling with his Hp. The lady got overly paranoia and she went up to the guy and said. ” stop taking photos or i will complain to the police” . the guy said back “i am not taking your photo” and the 2 just dispersed to different part of the train.

darknessfall SG

haha....sgGirls candid under attack! hehe...

personally, i dont mind pp taking pics of other people but not to the extend of trying to take pic of her zaogeng (upskirt or downblouse) which i find it unethical....

can tell whether some1 is trying to take candid shots or not..the way he or she "tries" to pretend sms..waaa...where got people sms with the phone so high up? haha...

zerocool85 SG

you also cant just go right up and ask nicely, "can i take a photo of you?"

the guy/gal will most probably get freaked out la.

well what that would have been beneficial to girls if that law student had just reported him to the right authorities and if he was reported him to the press... that would have detered others like him.Instead she says she has nothing against him(very contradicting)and advises other girls to look out for him and lookout out for photo takers.Does not make sense to me.

As a law student she also takes a swipe on our law system saying it doesn't favour the women enough. If its really so,we are in trouble aren't we?

I don't believe guys would take the risk and try taking pics women who are all covered up as she said she was.If some guys did do,then these are probably mentally ill and need to be reported for treatment.

All in and all, it looks like her article was to get a known issue written for sake of publication and not much benefit.

FBI SG

its an honour

if those not good looking chickcs, they don even bother.

You cannot be naked in the comfort of your own home, because if someone peeps at you while you are doing so, and feels unhappy about it, thats the end of you. Laughing

I guess we cant control wat other ppl’s doing, partly blame on the advanced technology ( camera-phone ), if not, it wont be so convenient for tos ppl to have evil thoughts. sigh~ Well, gals, be careful, not to weat too revealing, protect urselves whenever possible.

^tamago^ SG

sigh. technology abuse.

digicharat SG

that is one of the most absurd thing in singapore.
even in our home we cannot do anything we like.
can we counter sue them back for peeping at us? Laughing

Ponders SG

Ok... let's "predict" what's the SPF going to reply... since they are the only ppl who is eligible to reply. Maybe MITA will reply, but unlikely...

SPF is going to say,

1) We will investigate the case if any report was made. every case taken seriously

2) Singapore laws provides for outrage of modesty

3) cautions women to be more alert.

4) ask the letter writer to call SPF if she has anymore questions.

basically saying..... LPPL suck thumb. you think he outraging your modesty you report lah. if not ... don't waste newspaper space.

Ponders SG

I re-read that Forum writer's letter.

She actually wants to know what legal respite there is if her picture is taken without permission. Not so much on indescent shots but rather a normal pic taken.

She mention singapore lack privacy laws to protect ppl.

Even in USA and Canada where there are STRICT privacy laws. The law cannot stop ppl from taking your picture in public.

For somebody studying law, she should know this better.

Sounds like she just started her law studies.

fishyang SG

lol. i think its ok to take ppl’s pictures. Sammigal u rmb how we used to download kenneth foong pics? haha. just dont take those zaogeng kind can le

lisafloral SG
