Either one of these must happen or the lower 20% will suffer
(inevitably will cause more mental illness, criminal cases and
social unrest if prolong).
Starting salary for grads, diploma and ITE did not change much
(many even dive, can derive the salary range offered from the
online job search website) over these 5 years.
Living expense rises over the years like good old days (b4
financial crises & 911).
Retrenchment (some companies called it: Restructuring) is ongoing
and can sense/prepare that more are coming. As long as employees or
staffs are axed, I will call it "Retrenchment".
A number of new jobs created are not applicable to local grads and
workers (Too specialised & high end). Not enough jobs created
for the increasing masses of grads and workers. We can see more
grads driving taxi and doing odd-jobs, etc.
