by the way, my that second section is a footnote. so now it runs on only half a page because the previous section is a 2-column section. and i want it to ru...

^spidee^ SG

okie, take your time. Mr. Green

TehJarVu SG

but my footnote1 at the bottom got cropped away, the footnote is my problem.

it runs like the first column like that loh, i dunno how to show it.

and i don't want it like that, i want it to be one whole sentence across the A4 page, ie. basically 1 column.

you know what I'm saying?

^spidee^ SG

yes i get what you are saying, let me experiment abit..

TooFree SG

Type in paragraph first then separate them into column later. Neutral

^spidee^ SG

hmm, cannot leh, footnote cannot be just a single column if the main text is divided into 2 columns.. Neutral

PrtSc is Print Screen.

All Windows will come with Paint. If you don't know where to find Paint, go to Start, Run. Type in mspaint.

Open up Microsoft Word. Press PrtSc and switch to Paint. Press Ctrl + V or right click and select Paste.

Save an upload to an image hosting website and put the pic here.

skeujin SG

x2...

type everthg normally 1st then bold n convert wat u want into 2 columns.

TehJarVu SG

hanor hanor

but i learned print screen today, thks Wink

ndmmxiaomayi SG

I faint.

Drag the MS Word right down to your footnote then PrtSc.

^spidee^ SG

Laughing you're welcome..

TehJarVu SG

no lah, TooFree and Skeujin, my problem is not the paragraphs, my problem is the footnote.

ndmmxiaomayi SG

You open MS Word, drag down to your footnote. Then do the PrtSc process again.

TooFree SG

That's why i say type in essay form first... then convert to your required column u need by highlighting the relevant text above and columnise. Neutral

^spidee^ SG

I think the objective is to columnise only the main text, while leaving the footnote in just one column. But this is not possible cos the footnote itself follws the main text's format and cannot be columnised.

alexkusu SG

wait for FI reply

TehJarVu SG

see? it shd not be like this. the footnote shd be one sentence across the A4 page.

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Ok. I get your problem.

Open your document.

Go to view, Header and Footer. Scroll down right to end of the page. Type in the words you want in the footer box and click Close.

After clicking close, you will get this:

i tink it's a footnote problem, not a footer problem

footnote cannot solved liows, comprain to billy Laughing

^spidee^ SG

hmm, on paper, the footer trick might just work. just decrease the font and add the number and it’ll look exactly like a footnote.

TehJarVu SG

mayi, if i use your method, the footer text will interrupt my page number, unless i go and remove the page number <- you know how to remove page number? or anyone?
