The difference in bus fare for JC and poly students is too much! I have been paying adult fare since leaving sec school!!

Thats why we must kick up a fuss!! Like what they did about the pianist who dodged NS. In the end it led to harsher penalties.

Forgive me for being so childish on this matter, but its singapore. To put it crudely, the govt only bothers about anything when public reaction is stirred.

I think i have seen this issue brought up at Straits Times forums 3-4 times liao.

Yeah, they think that most students broke school rules by working, whether or not it is during the holidays or study period. That's why higher fares. They believe that JC students can't do that because of study stress. They believe that ITE students can't do that because they think that employers are still biased against them. Now see why? Last year poly forum Dr Vivian gave a nice answer on this issue and we kicked up a huge fuss in this forum. More than 10 pages for you to read.

Nothing is done.

If you want a fuss, riots is the best. It's the only way you can attract attention. Remember the CPF incident? 4 people gather outside only mata come. Riot police getting ready also. Don't even fit into the law's definition of illegal gathering (group of 5 people or more gathering). Laughing

Well, I guess it's really unfair for Poly students to be paying full adult fares. I mean, just look at the age difference! It's more or less the same. I'm a JC student myself, i;ve been enjoying concession rates while my friends at the poly side spend up to $100 a month on transportation.

They;re of the same age as myself, do not get school allowance and still largely dependant on parents for money.
I do not see why poly students of our age should be paying full adult fares. It;s not rational at all.
