if fail, can still go uni, but mus take english class alongside the chinamen

what is the GP grade? if D7, still can appeal like hell, and maybe can go through..they will take into account your other grades, and CCA records.

if E8, no need appeal. Either take a plane and head overseas, or repeat the A levels again..

Anyway, GP fail, almost 70-80% of the courses in uni will not accept you in...

oh, rem to ask your MP to write a letter for you! As the GE is coming, they will be more than glad to help the residents in need! Wink

The rule of the game is:

GP Fail = A Levels fail.

Just like for O levels, it is:

English fail = O Levels fail.

Of course if your failing grade is not too atrocious, and your other subjects are AAAA then you MIGHT get some sort of provisional admission.

what i do know is that if u fail gp u can still go into the engineering courses if u did well for other A lvl subjects. but C-average i tink cannot le.

after get in, there is another english proficiency test u must pass but i heard is much easier than gp. designed for china students one, cannot lose to them in english Cool

Cos foreign students are admitted based on a different set of criteria as they do not take GCE A-levels at all.

force? Laughing well they should have studied something else if they want to, in the A levels, you can choose any topic.

Last time, I did the same.Rejected the school's choice of Geography topics, and studied my own, and did my own combi for the As.

Back when I was in JC I simply couldn't care less about what the GP teachers taught us. If I didn't find what they taught interesting, I just did it on my own. GP is not something that can be learnt from a textbook anyway - it has to do a lot with your own general knowledge. I credit my parents for inculcating in me the habit of reading the newspaper while eating breakfast.

I really have a serious problem with the policies of some schools... they only care about getting the grades and not with giving students an education.

Oh wait, this is Singapore... I beg your pardon.
