pqr SG Hi anyone know the brand of the contact lens that to be wore during sleep time and it helps to shape eyeball so that when day time, need have a clear vision that last about 24 hours? And how much if you know? Thanks
denimfanatic SG Its called Ortho K, if your degree is too high you wont have perfect eyesight after taking it out though
pqr SG what i have found is called Corneal Refractive Therapy Q: Is Corneal Refractive Therapy the Same as Orthokeratology? Ans : Orthokeratology is defined as the reshaping of the cornea to reduce myopia through the use of rigid contact lenses. So technically, CRT is a type of orthokeratology.
pqr SG A check with Singapore Eye Centre and NUH do not provide this cornel refractive therapy... either is not in Singapore yet or it can be provided by the spectacles shops anyone knows? Thank you
CryoLind SG It can be found in optical shops. I once went to Spectacle hut n saw the brochure... it cost like $1k+ or did i heard wrongly??? I was quite interested in d beginning but den i figure it would be cheaper to wear normal contact lenses and when i save up enough to go for lasik.
105090 SG yeah. then they use laser to cut your cornea or something. only 10 minutes procedure i heard. but after lasik, u go and do all the wrong things, u get short sighted all over again. then dont know can lasik again anot.
oldbreadstinks SG yeah it is more than 1k for a pair , heard its quite hard to fit also, and results are not permanent, even if you've worn for very long if you stop wearing for a short while the degree would come back
pqr SG The claim is not permanent... the claim is wear overnight and day time need not wear...that is all
