ok there's only one staff working at 'the fountain' the place where all the ice creams order are made. imagine one person having to make all the table orders. one thing i dun understand about swensens is why they hire so little staff inside one outlet. and when people on leave they will short of staff and problems eventually occurs. i've seen this many times. Mad

at the rate this is going. i think swensens reputation is going down. whic i dun wana see Crying or Very sad

By the way, me noticed that they didn't even check any reservation listings or book when they brought the couple to their seats. And don't tell me that the cashier was also "blind" when she had at least three eye contacts with me ranging between 3 seconds to 20 seconds?

usually the reservation book is located at the entrance. depends if the outlet is packed cashier see customers at entrance will tell the person on duty. normally at swensens the outlet is divided into station A and station B, those in charge of station A cannot interfere in station B unless the outlet has very little customers. so sometimes u might see some CSR that notice you at the entrance but can't do anything becuz they belong to the other station. i find this quite lame though. so normally its either the manager on duty, assistant manager or higher rank staffs "those with walkie-talkie" that do the serving and ushering of customers into the outlet.

i think so too. duno why the A and B theory implement by swensens.

maybe they scared some1 go over to station A and never look after station B, then if customer from B got problem nobody to help. same if stay at B but A got customer got problem nobody to help.

i think swensens should just hire more staff la. Mad

Me think rather than just the basic training, more service trainings are required to push up the initiaitiveness and maybe external trainers from Spring can be hired to improve their staff training procedures and levels? Maybe in that way, the staff will know the importance of making other people's day!

Swensen will become history if they still do not change their pricing and menu. No attraction at all to go to swensen. Cafe Cartel will be a better choice then.

I was in a really good mood on that day.. no way i could have offended the staff in any way whatsoever..

at first, i didn't even realise that we've been waiting for around 1/2 hour.. till my friend mentioned that..

even after realising that, i merely asked one of the staff in a polite manner whether my food was ready..

i forgot to mention something.. the serving of the fish n chips i ordered were so small.. i finished it in like 6mouths.. Evil or Very Mad

30mins to take order
30mins for drinks, ice water to be placed on table.
40mins for food to come......

I know ALL about this. Coz' my mom worked in the company that owned Swensens..
Anyway, yes. The reputation of Swensens is going down. The workers there think that they will always be NO. 1 on the list, so now they are slacking. Right now, the best service is at Toa Poyoh...sorry if I got it wrong, but I never heard of tat place b4. Heh. But not sure coz' that was from LAST YEAR.
This year 2006 evulation will be on late November or something.
OH, and btw, what I am saying is the truth.
In fact, my mom told me that the annual money have been decreasing quite alot....
