From a blog comments:
"Genelia Harini is not a well known actress.
Unlike her more famous friends, Asin and Trisha,
Genelia retains the girl-next-door mind set. . A one hit sensation
who did not have the staying power rather prefers to come and go
without any publicity nowadays... Also known for her "Fair
and Lovely" Beauty product ads.Her movies had been few in
general. In tamil industery, actresses' shelf life is short if they
dont plan well, their career is finished ...the gender biased
producers always want fresh faces for women ... Always
competition...Genelia's most known movie where she debuted as new
face is "Boys' where she was featured as a lead heroine & glam
girl in 2003 .. the pop music of AR.RAHMAN for "Boys" was a big
favourite of everyone and somewhat propelled the movie to a
critical success at the box office .. But her career failed to take
off in a grand manner in the Tamil industry as her later few movies
were particulary not major successes."
That above an old pic taken 3-4 years ago when in her teens. So is
this. dont say this is ugly. is the same girl..
