redstone SG I only wanna buy one. Or at most two. Binal is better quality? Quality matters to me. I don't want fading, peeling paintwork.... parts coming loose and stuff.
Ayukat SG Well... Hasbro's mostly plastic... so definately no paintchips... Takara's diecast might chip... and I heard Binaltech, chip very easily when transforming... But you prefet plastic or diecast... and Hasbro's paintjob and plastic quality is not known to be very good either...
redstone SG Seems like hard choice.... Plastic or die-cast.... Can last long can liao. I'll rather have degrading paints than chipping bodies. Hmmm... all the models are listed here ah? http://tfarchive.com/toys/
kopiosatu SG just don't be too rough when transforming. those toys were designed for display, not for play. so if you're gonna do a whole lot of transforming, alternator would be a better choice.
Ayukat SG Sooner or later... I regret complaining TFC #00 was expensive when it was selling at Toy 'R' Us for $119.90... and now... $300 +... And I spend $68 for my TFC #07... when I could have gotten it for $35 at Action City a year ago... HAIZ... Now I dun have G1 Convoy... and have to make do with the Pepsi Convoy...
kopiosatu SG i wouldn't say its more fragile. its heavier and plastic tends to be more forgiving if u force it too much, unlike painted die cast metal. binaltechs have a more solid look and feel, alternators plastic look is very obvious.
Ayukat SG Actually... I think Alternators more fragile... Takara's definately better and collector friendly.
Ayukat SG Nevermind... there is 1 thing... all Convoy molds will definately be released again by hook or by crook.
kopiosatu SG okay binaltech always costs more than alternators price range depends on demand. i got my 3 toys at 80-90. my masterpiece convoy cost me 180.
