chanff8 SG Windows Media Player by default rips CDs into wma format. Perhaps your mp3 player cannot play wma files. To enable Windows Media Player to rip your CDs into MP3 format, go to Tools --> Options --> Rip Music --> Rip Settings --> Format: MP3
