I have compare how much hyundai price has drop compare to Toyota car. In actual fact, the car price should drop in proportion to the COE's drop. But the hyundai car has drop like nobody business. eg July 03 1.3 Getz was selling 66K with COE abt 30K, with COE now at 19K. Theortically, it should drop like 11 k, but it has drop like 19K. This is not so for Toyota..so if u want to drive a Hyundai, be prepared to drive for 10 yrs, if not you losses will be huge Crying or Very sad

sometimes, i really dun know why singaporeans are so naive and can get so easily conned. yah, maybe korean cars are lousier in terms of FC by tat 2 or 3km/ltr. but they never think how much more they pay for a similar jap car. i tell u, even in 10 yrs, the extra i spend for petrol is still lesser then the upfront extra cash u pay for a jap, not to mention the time value of $ and the interest u need to pay for the extra px.

then there are of cos those who are still living in dinosaur age, believing that korean cars can only drive 3yrs after tat sure go lemon. hahhaha..i find these people so ancient in their thinking. maybe this is true like 5-10yrs ago. i think the pple who made these comments are like frog in a well. to them, the world is only made up of jap cars. jap dun wake up the koreans will overtake them soon jus like how the japs overtook the europeans and americans.

then there are of cos the badge snob. these grp of pple the best liao. they see the brand only they know whether good or bad. hahahaha...these type of pple easiest to con liao.

think abt it....

Smile True true.. you got a point here.
Its yr 2005 all those old thinking must be strapped.
I heard that korean technology is fast catching up man..
Don't be surprised that korean car will one day overtake the japs
in-terms of sales here.

Nowsaday a car is just only used as a mode of transportation not to show off.
If the price is affortable to basic ppl , I don't find that driving a korean car is a wrong choice. Today customer is smart, they want good stuff & cheap. Very Happy

Will stay it(COE) around that range till April..

agreed with your sayings... you wont know it till you own one...
Some 20yrs ago, japanese cars were wannabes to continential cars... see where are they now... the student will one day grow up to be a teacher as well...

Bloop... SG

True... but on top of FC, I also look at reliability. My friend's Rio starting falling apart after the 1st year. Then again it was purchased in 2001... according to the salesman ( and of course I trust what he says Rolling Eyes ) current batches are more reliable.
