I’m very practical. I tell my hubby to give me something more lasting like watch, diamonds etc. Anyway don’t celebrate V day cos everything too expensive. I rather he treats me well every day.

My gf and I dont celebrate valentine’s day as well. It’s just a tactic by commercial companies to make more money. They must be very happy that so many people fall into the trap. We feel that Valentine’s Day is determined by both parties, not by commerical companies or whoever who set this date as Valentine’s day. Every single day can be a Valentine’s day if you want to, or there can be no single Valentine’s day in the next 10 years.

In fact I requested my bf not to give me flowers on V day. I explained to him why and he understands. To me, there’s no meaning in it, simple as that. Birthdays and anniversaries are most significant, at least it holds some meaning and that the special day only belong to us.

Yeah, I feel that valentine's day is more of a commercial thingy nowadays. What's the use of being showered with flowers and chocolates and whatever else on valentine's day but being treated crappily the rest of the year? Love ought to be celebrated everyday and not on just 14th february.
