Everyone is unskilled at the beginning. The question is "do you
want to drive manual or auto if skill is not a issue?" Just
remember the pain of starting off from a stationary position on the
slope, car engine stopping when you didn't down gear in time or
clutch in too fast, or the occasional peak JAMs. So willing to
expereince all that for that little amount of fuel?
Strictly speaking, if FC is a concern, then you shouldn't go for
Chevrolet in the first place. So you decide. Auto Vios can easily
win Chevrolet manual anytime, especially since you are
unskill.
Anyway, I am also an unskilled driver. But once you get used to it,
things becomes natural. Of course Auto is also easier to sell
off.
