How to Put in Song with Chinese Characters inside Winamp P.L

Yea, I am having this problem now...basically I have a folder full with songs which are all titled in Chinese characters and when I tried to put in all these songs in my winamp player, the songs don't seem to be included in the playlist. Any idea how to solve this problem?

Also...is there any program that can convert chinese characters into han yu pin yin? Smile

btw, i use iTunes and chinese chars are from built-in Chinese on Mac.

it is alrite la...I can still play it, just that it wun go into my playlist so i have to go to the file directly and click on it...then it will play...

i think for XP, select the file, then go to Properties (right-click, go Alt+Enter), under advanced can edit ID3 tag.

well I just tried renaming the file into hypy manually...now it can go into my playlist oledi...but sum songs might be even named incorrectly cos my hypy sucks.

no...they should have a program that actually reads unicodes such as chinese...I have a feeling that winamp is primarily developed for the western market therefore it can only take in a-z,0-9 kind of characters...that's why when I try to play songs that have chinese characters in them as the filename...winamp sometimes can play...sometimes cant because of the filename....I dropped winamp from my system long ago. at least to me...hypy is just a around-about way around the problem...but it doesnt really solves it....maybe I am being too critical... Rolling Eyes

what player do you use then? I tried to use iTunes but same problem oso, all the chinese characters dun want to come out properly, only come out as symbols...

and worse, iTunes wun let me play some songs in my PC, saying that it has license or some sort of rubbish like that, I can play it fine in winamp tho... Confused

to me....itunes is a better player....just a perception....I didnt try iTunes long enough to know all the bugs...
