Izzit legal to add turbocharger to cars ?

Hi im quite a newbie to vehicles. Im driving my mitsubishi lancer 1.6 glx. Then was wondering if i can buy my own turbocharger n mount onto the engine. Any advice n lobang any 1 ? Twisted Evil

its illegal to do so in sg… hmm…there are quite alot of garage where they can MOD your car well…some good in turbocharge and some good in NA~ but the most important thing is that if you dare to fork out money to MOD,im sure that your car will not let you down ofcuz~

It is legal provided you have enough money to get it legalized.
You gotta tow your car to the inspection centre, pay money to get it inspected, pay money to get a certification from the turbo manufacturer.

It's gonna cost you a lot, but it can be done.

It cannot be done unless the TC or SC is produced by the same manufacturer as the car make. In so far, only the Lexus IS/RS200 SC is approved by TTE and LTA. It can only be installed by the approved workshop.

If I am not wrong, i heard b4 of one case of adding turbo charger to your car. But you need to get approval from LTA all tis. It is legal once you get all the documents.
