I'm driving the new Mitsubishi Lancer...and couple of questions after I browse through this column...hope those fellow lancer fans out there can help me.. 1) What is the difference btw SOHC and DOHC? I know one is single overhead cam the other is double overhead cam...but how significant is it? how much more powerful is DOHC to SOHC? 2) I keep seeing people say Mitsubishi Lancer CS3 3) Is the new Lancer designed together with DaimlerChrysler, think I read somewhere in this forum..but is it true?
RooP SG mitusbishi got new lancer mehz??..-_- when did you get your car??..i got mine last october..so im not sure which lancer you are talking about.. besides on the road itself i dint see any new pattern of lancers around also leh
2004Lancer SG hi Joey...it is true that it is co-designed by DaimlerChrysler but DC sold the share leow......i was the one who posted one la..... anyway...it is a good buy now lor.......i am a artistic person la...and until today the more i look at the design of Mit Lancer, the more i like it......the front looks cool....and stealth......like a silent fighter plane.........with Mit Lancer EVO spoiler, it resembles a F22 Raptor or Tomcat........ i always like to make sharp U-turn as the handling is super stable n precise....... i like the way it switches lanes ...not dangerous at all....precise and decisive...... SOHC it is...and i must admit it is a little sluggish.....until i installed Z-stab, the accelerator response is faster now...almost immediate

dazzler SG is it a ground wire or a voltage stabilizer coz i also got put in my mit lancer but i m not sure if it can increase acceleration

imprezaWRXSTi22B SG dohc is more powerful den sohc somehow. CS3 is the current 2004/2005 lancer model.
free4ever SG Z-stab is something like that...If I am not wrong, it cuts off charging of the battery when the battery is fully charged, thus relieving the load from the engine, improving on fc and performance. just like when you off aircon, the car performance get slightly better or fc decreases. Grounding improves the efficiency of the spark plugs which also results in either lower fc or better performance or both. Although both achieve the same result, the process is totally different.
