Through what u have written in the posts.. U don't have a simple [b]RESPECT in u.. U don't believe is ok, but at least show some RESPECT to the churches & the believers by not backstabbing them.. Every religion has its own believe & its own rights or way.. But u here just know how to see what others are doing, have u learn anything from them??? yes, i dont believe in christianity, that is my problem. how have i backstabbed other churches? i attended 4 different churches before and i speak the truth about all 4 that i have attended. i dont have respect in me? ha.. ha.. what about the people who at the bus-stops who keep probing others to join churches.. and to believe in christianity? is that having respect in themselves? of course you base things on what you see, unless you are trying to say they do something but mean another? you go to bed with another man/woman but in your heart you are trying to give others a message that you love your spouse? did i say that christianity is bad.. we should not be christians.. no one should go to church? i have simply laid down what i have seen, what i have went through, and what i have not liked. that is my opinion. i am just sharing my experiences with everyone here. keep in mind that respect is earned. i have the right to respect what i want and not respect what i want. please call the cops to arrest me now if it is against the law to not respect. what kind of logic is, "if you dont know how to respect, it means you dont respect your parents". how is not knowing something linked to your parents? i definitely know how to respect. it is just like how i know how to kill someone, but i dont kill someone.

also, please dont say i do not weigh the pros and cons, you may find it hard to believe but i do read the bible. that is because the “events” that took place in the bible have values for all to learn. Ultimately, if you narrow down every religion, it is to help nurture and mould any individual into a better person. the goals are definitely the same, but its the path that is different.

Shocked well, under normal circumstances, the nick we get for ourselves is influenced by what is closest to us. I'd be extremely strange for me, as a Christian to call myself Buddha.... Of course, it is entirely possible that a nick is chosen out of random, but I think that such a chance is rather remote.

You know for someone (apparently a Christian as well as an apparently newbie) you are exceptionally crude and insulting in your opening note. You need to exercise a certain level of control in you language.

You need to know that we ALL form opinions, some right and others wrong. CHC has a long history of controversy among the forumites. Note too that not many churches get dissed that way CHC is. So please don't make the claim that people do NOT RESPECT CHURCHES. The truth is: people DO NOT RESPECT CHC BECAUSE OF HO YEOW SUN (and possibly Kong Hee).
Just because I do not respect an individual or organisation does not mean that I do not respect another individual or another organisation. Please get your facts right before shooting yourself in the foot, assuming you are as logical as you say you are, 'cos your entire note is DISREPECTFUL. So can I now conclude that you are disrepectful to your parents as well?

Please note too that my observation of Ho Yeow Sun's dressing in one of this week's Straits Time is extremely ridiculous. If that is not an attention seeker, I don't know (without resorting to profane words) what she is?

I think the Miss HO part played a very big role in CHC reputation, in my religion, we cant recruit those who are famous or those who are into politics. Imagine the outroar that would cause? and the consequences?

unfortunately, that is inevitable.. not only politics, education, corporate.. wadever. a newspaper reported about teachers in U.S refusing to teach evolution because the christian based community reject such a notion completely, even though the subject is mandatory. the schools are afriad, so at the most they slightly touch the subject and move on.

a secular society, is not always as secular as it should be.

he.. besides the insults, is right about flaming someone just because of an "invitation".

its crude from both sides, to end up flaming each other.. opinions are fine, some i don't like it, some i agree, but its bad when it turn into insults. to him, opinions that are insulting his church equates insulting him..

to me, i dun understand why chc pisses people off till the point where the mere mention of its name can initiate a whole bunch of people flaming.

1. only 1/3 of the members are youths now. i don't know anyone who goes to church for gals.. yet.

2. she wrote some of the songs, but only praise and worship songs are sung. several others are written by inhouse musicians, so i gather they are training for future contempory christian pop stars? its a norm in u.s, aussie, to have worship songs that are similar to pop songs.. its a whole genre on its own.

3. this is true, but i don't like her pop songs so.. don't care.
