I'm on no pay study leave and got a letter suddenly stating that I never clear IPPT. No one informed me beforehand that I have to clear IPPT.

But the letter stated, "Please refer to the email dated , XXX, and XXX". But no one informed me.

Now school have started, I can't find time to train.... more importantly, I have not trained for it. How to pass it in 2 weeks?

I plan to call to ask. But I'm just a low ranking spec, not an officer... I'm afraid that I don't even get to speak to the one who sent me the letter.

My weakest station is standing broad jump.
How to train for it?

no point calling. cos it is a requirement to clear. and they assumed that u will take ur own responsibility to clear it before the end of the work yr.

well.. u got 2 weeks to hit on the gym and sort it out. which i think can be done. if u try hard enough..

failing which.. u can get a Formal Verbal Warning, which means, no PB for april, no promotion, ranking automatically lowest grading.

do sprints ....

broad jumps relies on the explosive power of the leg muscles, something distance runners don't do very well ....

train up on your sprints, and you'll do well in standing broad jump ....

What is the passing mark for standing board jump for cat Y?
I think it's 212cm rite?

And I can make it on good days, some time only 200...

Just timed myself for 2.4, 11:30.... so got to pass my SBJ..

during mid jump, shoot your legs out in front of you with force. u will definitely pass. Just try to land properly and don’t stumble. works for me fine…

work on your landing, you should be fine
try to stretch the leg mascles abit before the jump, on the test day, try to aim far, think this help keep the chin up.

Nonsense!! Since u got 2 weeks, Just do three runs (run, not walk) B4 the actual date. Make sure you rest one day before IPPT.

you can do explosive strength training for your SBJ as such explosive squats, deadlifts..or plyometrics(tuck jumps) but i still prefer the weight training, plyometrics trains endurance but in this case you dont need any endurance for SBJ just some power..

Sometimes got jog a bit.. but not 2.4 distance and speed, usually longer but slower...

start your running everyday from now.
for pull up, try pulling once a day using the weight supporter exercise gym set.
it will help to "start-up" your muscles for pull up

for standing board jump, do rabbit hop, knee-tuck jump lor..

do dumbbell rows for strength, i dont really recommand using machines for fuctional strength.It targets the main muscle only…

Just now I jump, best is 210cm.
Hope PTI will close one eye, give me 2 more cm.
