okok. on paper, these r the specs:
02 Nissan Sunny:
Engines available:
1.3L 95 bhp 4-cylinder
1.6L 118 bhp 4-cylinder
1.8L 130 bhp 4-cylinder
0-100km/h timings:
10.5 sec.(1.3L)
9.5 sec.(1.6L)
9.0 sec.(1.8L)
Tuscani Coupe:
Engines available:
1.6L 103 bhp 4-cylinder
2.0L 136 bhp 4-cylinder
2.7L 165 bhp V6
0-100km/h timings:
11.6 sec.(1.6L)
9.2 sec.(2.0L)
8.2 sec.(2.7L)
So depending on which varient of the Sunny n Tuscani we r talking
about, yes it IS possible for the Sunny to outrun the Tuscani.
Furthermore, he did mention that the accel in 1st, 2nd n 3rd gears
were about even, plus the fact that most sunnys in sg r likely to
be the 1.6 while most Tuscanis are likely to be the 2.0L, then,
yes, what the thread starter mentioned is likely true. Factor in
factors such as driver's response time, gear shifts, tyres etc, and
it IS possible.
2 things now.
1. Im not saying the Tuscani is a slow car, but u Tuscani drivers n
fans must remember, that the fact is that unless you mod it, the
Tuscani is not exceptionally fast, and the lower speced ones ARE
capable of losing to a normal family saloon. This is a fact u have
to accept, however harsh it may seem.
2. Those of you who don't like the Tuscani, stop slagging it off.
Its not as bad as it seems, and there ARE slower coupes in the
market out there which cost more. Eg? Mercedes C180 Sportscoupe,
Renault Megane CC, Smart Roadster, Vauxhall Astra Coupe, and even
the BMW 318Ci which is more expensive is slower than the 2.0L
Tuscani. Want to pick a bone? start with these cars 1st then. It
might be a Hyundai, so what? It looks pretty good, has decent
performance, and is cheap enuf that its great value for money. So
quit your potty mouths.
