fireice is coming…

UandMe SG

give the interviewing officer your sammyboy's forum password and he will give u the job

Deunamist SG

SAF got pilot? that's new. Laughing

^tamago^ SG

haha. join YFC, and go to AFRC to sign up - as we noe, all pilots are regulars.

during your BMT, you may be called up for further interview. if you're in, it'll be after ur BMT.

eyesight requirements:

i got pilot fren, maybe i can enquire for u.

Ponders SG

just try and apply lor.. by the way its wrong forum.

to apply your eye degree cannot exceed 500.

then you must pass all the physical test they subject you to.

Deunamist SG

also. you MUST be a Captain. Should take you about 3-4 years.

No Captain No Talk.

^tamago^ SG

erm, pilots are at least the rank of captain when they are commissioned.

talking about the tests, they include dexterity, anti-g resistance (at least 4.5G, u shld noe, u dun wan to g-loc frequently), colour, eye, neurological ability, agility etc. less than 10% of each cohort qualify.

thingy SG

dun waste time…. if u have no experience/interest in the aviation field, u have only at most 5% chance of becoming a pilot. to be a fighter, another 20% further…. which = 1% chance

X-men SG

Basic requirement - have perfect eye sight, worse case 125 correctable (meaning your spec's power cannot be more than 125. Not sure if they have increase this figure)

If you have PPL (Private Pilot License) its an added advantage.

How to get PPL? Join Youth Flying Club. Too old for that? Join Singapore Flying Club.

Then go to CMPB and apply for pilot?? Very Happy

Question

kopiosatu SG

erm... no

Deunamist SG

Because SAF is the ground forces, while RSAF is the air force.

Deunamist SG

never heard of ppl fresh from OCS commissioned as CPTs before. unless you are talking about the basic training course to become a Pilot, then that's a different story.

kopiosatu SG

even so... pilots are not CPT when commisioned

X-men SG

LTA only can be pilots liao Mr. Green

my time CPT is pilot instructors liao

kopiosatu SG

LTA can be KNNBCCB junior pilots to SPIT ON and BO HIU!!!

I hate yaya junior pilots.

UandMe SG

SAF = Singapore Armed Forces

RSAF = Republic of Singapore Air Force, which is part of SAF together with the Army and RSN

X-men SG

I hate them too.

but when comes to winching.. they have to listen to my command Mr. Green

kopiosatu SG

and when it comes to maintenance, i can smoke them. Twisted Evil

today i saw a "126 Is Back!" banner outside SBAB main gate.

funny thing is... no 126 leh Laughing
