Stunts for funds
THE debate about charity and stunts continues. Should celebrities
and newsmakers risk life and limb to raise money?
babyanjel asks: 'Do Singaporeans enjoy watching circus acts and
experience glee from watching stunts?'
robochop, meanwhile, questions the motives of people who are
motivated to donate only when there are stunts on TV.
asd78 begs to differ.
He says that the stunts are a challenge to the celebrity
performers, just like living without money is a challenge to many
of the sick and needy.
When celebrities like the Venerable Shi Ming Yi perform a stunt, he
says, they are just asking people to donate so that they can 'help
needy patients to overcome the challenge' and live.

Keeping it simple

naming competition, offer $2,000 cash and other prizes, only to
settle on the very bland Budget Terminal as the winning
entry?
Many others agree that the name is not too creative.
Not sentsggirls though. She writes: 'Well, why not that name?
Sometimes, simplicity is good.'
She thinks that it is appropriate for a no-frills building catering
to budget airlines.
