Any advice for used-car getters?
Most people will say: "Wah now new car so cheap! Who will get an
used car?"
But the concept of depreciation is not factored in right? E.g. Say
now a new Mazda 6 will cost $80k with the latest COE. But the
annual depreciation still remians high at about $7.2k or so.
Whereas, a '03 used Mazda 6 can easily have an annual depreciation
of $6.5k only.
The high depreciation of new cars is all the more true when parf is
going to drop to only 45% of OMV. Therefore, low COE -> low OMV
-> lagi lower parf!
Please correct me if what I said is not correct.
