Good 4 u since u know e rule. Almost everyone practise tis along e north-south highway. imagine u r doing 170kmh, got to slow down when e car infront of u dunno 2 be automatic...very piss off....slow...pick speed again.

dun think the drivers in sg are well acquainted with the prodigal "signal rite means u are going too slow and u should keep left coz i wanna overtake u" rule thats more common place with our neighbours further north of woodlands. maybe next time u should juz overtake him on the left anyway since he's gonna do the same whether u bother to signal rite or not Twisted Evil

No problem with right light indicator for msia.
For s'pore i dunno. Usually i just cut in left lane, stare at the rode hogger for say 3 seconds before cutting in front of him let him smell my smoke. Laughing

If can't overtake by the right, go by the left loh... no need for point fingers/stare/dig nose/spit/fart/show foot/throw rubbish/stick out tongue/poke his eyes/throw steering wheel at the hogger loh.

The "hogger" maybe sticking to the speed limit and doesn't wan to be kana bitten by termites.

Like they say, from a distance need to flash high beam liao. If u tailgate then flash high beam, dun think tat person can see. If still dun give way, overtake by the left loh then take it as normal lah.

Anyway, so far didn't encounter unreasonable pple before when I overtake them by the left. I hope you guys say for fun only leh... dun do it for real. e.g. Point middle fingers, jam brake, thow steering wheel, dig nose drive close to tat car then wipe it on tat bugger's windscreen.

gave up liao....... u high beam and horn they will not give way , u wan overtake from left they will speed so as not to let u overtake them.....so IMO i juz drive how i wan and the rest juz bochap......as long i dun caused any accident...simple as that....every man for themselves on the roads of SG... You are probably right about the fact that a number of drivers do not know the right signal rule. However, that is no excuse for him to take offence for the fact that i have got no choice but to overtake him on his left mah Imagine a souped up M lancer bullying a family Sunny Crying or Very sad

I dun do any of the above wor Embarassed I just drive slowly in front of him Razz Must be safe driver mah. But when he can't take a hint and insists on tailgating me, usually I will jam brake and see if i can get lucky and change the car's paintwork. So far, no luck Laughing

Signal to request?

Let me say this; over the 20 years of driving, I only know that motorists here, only know what they want, where they wanna go, and that they must be first.

I mean, even the Yellow Box in junctions are ignored. Forget them giving way to you, unless they're forced to by traffic conditions.

I never trust the other party to give way whenever I signal. And I awlays signal, even though I find signalling is really quite useless most times.

There are people who are turning into a minor road without signalling even when they notice you waiting for them to pass before you can turn out.

So what signalling knowledge? People here largely selfish on the roads.

Another thing that I found the drivers selfish r when they r turning right/left n r occupying 1.5 lanes.

eg. right-most lane turning right, but the right-turning car occupied half-lane to the left. thus blocking half of the lane that r going straight. Evil or Very Mad
