Uhh Hmm i was abt to advise how not to get ur bike stolen cos mine never got stolen before until I saw this. My regular bike is those mini one, bright pink.....

some of the bikes they ride i knw are at least $80 buckss n above of have vry vry shoddy paint jobs.. pretty suspicious to me.

So moral of story is to prevent bicycle kena stolen, buy foldable bike or park your bike within and inside your house Mr. Green

my house got not on lift landing floor lah .. too heavy to carry bike up n down .. tat's why left my bike downstairs.

My bike only got stolen nearby, so if I ever see it, I'm gonna puncture both wheels and kick the chain broken and twist the handlebars off axis. Laughing

Reason being I have not had the tubes replaced since 1998, the chain is rusty and creaks when you ride it, I can't even change the main gears, and the handlebars are so damn loose, I fear it'll just go crooked everytime I ride it.

Your HDB lift is those old kind that stop at 1 - 6 - 11 kind? Then too bad cuz mine is newer of which the lift stop at every floor. So for your case, not much you can do about it. Maybe get a foldable bike or move house? Mr. Green

I ever coame across one bangala using a hammer hitting on a bike chain.i lock mine on my block(6th floor).it's doing fine...

it's hearing stories like this that i am scared to cycle as a mode of transportation lor.

Back overseas, i cycle instead of taking public transport.

then down here i saved up enough to buy a "mid-level" MTB... but i hear so many stories about bike theft that i scared to park lor.

So now when i cycle, it's only for recreation but its tying me down because i will drive to location... cycle around then i must go home. i am scared while parking in public areas... my bike will be stolen along with the bike rack.

So for one year i have this new bike... i cycled less than 20 times. haha.

damn regret.

my usual practice is i U-lock the front tire to frame, thick (1.5cm) cable lock rear wheel and triangle to post/fence, etc.

is this safe enough? but i am paranoid!!! money don't come easily now.

Somemore i got a handlebar and stem that is out of production already.

I got 2 bikes stolen within 1 week. Dammit!! Never park at the bike stand at Yishun Bus Interchange!! It's a horrible experience... Shocked

When i was 10 years old there was this d!ckhead who stole my bike from my corridor, left the lockchain on my gate, and he rode it to his house 4 HDB blocks away from mine. He parked the bike outside. One day i was going to the shop i saw my bike, and i saw the bugger peeping frm the window. I called the police and he got a serious pharking from my dad.
