Lancerlot SG hi fellas, anyone know the various penalty for modding your ride??like change engine, or add turbo?? i heard that changing engine means car got to scrap plus fine. does that means like a forced scrap, n do u get back the coe rebate n remaining Parf value??

LazerLordz SG Turbos are legal provided they come with a manufacturer’s sheet and emissions certificate.
houndy SG Not really sure.. about scrapping but there will be a fine.. then an LTA inspection and which you must well.. remove all teh items deemed illegal

LazerLordz SG You can install a turbo in any car, as long as the installation and the equipment has been tested and according to safety standards.You need approval for most mods, and this is much better than the past, where mods were simply considered illegal.
KhidMasAE86 SG You got to wait for the LTA approval for abt 1 year before its approved. more most cases...they dont approve.
cairocks SG Is it that most mods have to get approval? Have thought that minor mods like CAI, K&N, struct bar, pivot etc is ok with LTA/TP. But even if govt side ok, dunno if insurance companies with use these as excuses not to compensate.
LazerLordz SG I know of people who have successfully installed turbos and their approval is quite fast and smooth.Please ensure you have a certificate from JDS and it is helpful if the engine you are installing the turbo on, has a pre-existing turbo variant.
johncooper SG not sure ley must check with those who kena before regarding the claims ... I did not find it on the LTA webby too but it is according to a 'seasoned' driver. But the jail term is confirmed because my friend is in 'peah' now
