it's true. of one cd, my take:
$1 to artiste
$2.50 to label (incl. recording, studio, promotions and
staff)
$0.50 to shipping and other costs
$16 to shop (incl. rent, staff, electricity)
you see? a recent release can be available for as cheap as a few
dollars, actually.
