You are right ! when fully loaded of 5people, you should take off with OD off..change it back to on afterwhich, you have find your comfortable speed.

many auto cars actually have 3 physical gears only (mechanically). the overdrive is a mechanical system that allow the 3rd gear to spin off a "4th gear" thereby making it a 4 gears auto system.

so in normal use, the overdrive should be turned "on", ie the orange light "off". if you drive with O/D off long distance, not only it will waste fuel it will also damage your gear system esp you go high speed.

"O/D off" means max you can go is 3rd gear and is for going up/down hill or when you tow a caravan when 4th gear is not appreciated or even dangerous to use. some pple use it for overtaking, i think not necessary cos when you "kick down" the accelerator during an overtaking it will shift down from 4th to third or from 3rd to second automatically, as and when the engine requires.

i felt like FC gone higher after the 1st service, but later thought maybe its just my imagination and forgotten abt it since. as for brake i think unlikely lar, this one definitely is imagination, dun think they touch the brake in 1st servicing, only visual inspection.

as for petrol, most pple say 95 is juz nice, but a few swear that 98 can make the car go faster. if you cost conscious juz pump 95 lar.

roycindy, strange to have vibration, esp the engine block of this march is specially suspended by specially dampened material so that the vibration of the engine does not pass on to the car body and this is quite advanced stuff.

you shd check out TC pple when you go for 1st service.

99% of the time you shd leave the O/D "on", ie the "O/D off' light "off". only when you dun need 4th gear........ this is confusing....... ok ok, this is the answer:

you should not see the orange light litted which says "O/D off"

my mistake!!! pai say! meaning to say it's suppose to be "ON" but i told u should be "OFF". then when i went to my car i realised that i told u the wrong thing n quickly SMS NYC to see if he has ur contact no. n wanted to SMS u to tell u wrong...i'd made a mistake...but he doesn't have ur contact yet! NO LA! i made a mistake by telling melbee the wrong info la! i actually confused myself with the on n off thing till i very luan! actually been driving with it 'ON' but wrongly told her it should be 'OFF".

dun blame yourself, many time i also blur.....its like...

the O/D off light must be off, this means O/D must be on, so you must press the button to on the O/D and check and make sure you have off the O/D off light....

Errr ....nice or not .....depending on who is ya company leh.....
The golf course is not bad . I mean decent 18 holes n price reasonable. Though I havent got my PC but u can play there during wk days when there is no crowd.

I saw this Purple twice ....infact....once at Sengkang on Sunday ....Quite interesting color ....dun think it is the standard color.
