Li Ka Shing SG Hi, Is it really safe to eat raw food like salad or sushi? I thought the purpose of cooking is to kill germs. So if the food is uncooked, that means there might be germs, isn't that right?
yuko-ogura SG as long as cross-contamination doesn't occur..it would be fine.. worried? go wash wif mama-lemon.
storywolf SG People prepare salad, wash the veg extra clean . For Sushi, extra fresh and extra clean also is ensure during preparation. .
Li Ka Shing SG Who eat sushi with wasabi all the time? And what about those steaks......rare ones, with blood...Wouldn't that mean there's a lot of safety/ health risk too?
alexkusu SG It depends on the food handler. Most food poisonin sources are food handlers. So..better eat from a well known sushi restaurant with a reputation to keep and better QC systems.
alexkusu SG Beef is generally much more sterile than chicken meat. Hence more people eat raw or beef sashimi then something like raw chicken
AugoeideS SG Salad is okay. In fact, most of the food poisoning derived from eating raw meat-origin foods.
alexkusu SG Vegetables also carry harmful pathogens. So does seafood, eggs, etc..dosent mean food without raw meat is safe
dranoel maxwell SG well eating raw aint that bad... don't worry so much lah get the food into your digestive system is the ulmost thing first... anyway the reason why jap are so clever and long lasting is because they eat raw sushi...(not very sure about it though)
