just suggestion: if anybody here play guitar.. song chords, classical, melodical, power chords or whatever.. try to learn bass guitar also.. basically the same.. with the notes from thickest to thinnest string like guitar (first 4 string): E A D G.. u can just practice using ur guitar as they r almost similar with bass guitar.. u can learn about melodies n scales more n faster by playing bass...

I'm an Ex-musician, and instruments are:

1) 4,5, & 6 string basses (4 & 5 string Warwick & 6 string Yamah)
2) Alto & Soprano Saxophones (Selmer & Yamaha)
3) Workstation Synthesizers (Yamah Motif ES Cool

Foundation: Jazz Fusion
Idol & Inspiration: Chick Corea

Dislikes: playing anything cover versions, straight chords & poor timings, and straight drumming

All for: improvization, odd time signatures & complex drumming, and syncopated scaling & chord progressions
