Daryl Hall and John Oates had a few damned good songs.. the last few like "Don't Hold Back Your Love" and "So Close" were sad in their own way..

some were pretty cool.. very 80s, like "One on One" and "Private Eyes"

never did like Styx Razz

I only like Hall & Oates “I can’t go for that”

dragg SG

i prefer maneater, kiss on my list and private eyes.

Styx is a rock band I like. I find Daryl Hall music too tame for my liking Razz

styx is more country than rock.

dennis de young did better going solo.

Well I would label it as country rock then. I know of this band of their 90s song called Love Is The Ritual and Show Me The Way. I got a compilation album of them and then later I know Styx is the name of a river mentioned in the bible and about Charon who moves along the river? Mr. Green

dragg SG

styx is something like eagles.

sang a lot of country but have a bit of rock in them.

Compare both of them I think eagles are more closer to country. Styx has some songs with synthesizer? Or just musical effects like Mr Roberto? Mr. Green

dragg SG

mr roberto is a damn weird song.

anyway eagles has only one rock song - hotel california.

mr roberto is a damn weird song.

Not weird but super stylo milo for a country song you would say? Tat is why I label Styx as a rock rather than a country songs band. Your definition may differ though Mr. Green

The Grand Illusion, Madame Blue are just some other songs that dun really fit into the country genre of music.
