kc_leung SG Yeah did that... my roomie had pirated XP CD. kept hanging at scandisk when trying to install on a partition formatted as NTFS. then reformat partition as FAT32, install went ok - only to find that some $#%# had stuffed a virus into the windows folder.

launtpc SG Ya, that's the stupidest thing. Many DIY people change their PC hardware every year, buy a new one? No. In the end...my legal copy lies at a corner, now I using pirated one Comeon! More practical.
kc_leung SG btw windiz update will have problems if you're using firefox 1.5 or deer park... too new already. the newest firefox it works with is 1.0.7
