Hello everyone,
I'm just throwing up this notion for discussion...okay, here
goes...my issue is seat-belts...see, if I don't wear my seat-belt
whilst driving and get into an accident, and something really
terrible happens, then it is entirely my fault and the pain is mine
alone; I have to bear the consequences.
I've not hurt anyone else but me so why should the authorities
"force" me to wear it? I should to free to decide on my own.
My other point is about child-seats and parents allowing their kids
to run around inside the car and not ensuring they are securely
belted in...who should be responsible if something bad happens? The
parents, right? So, if the parents feel it is alright to allow
that, why should the authorities step in and tell us what to do?
The onus is on the parents.
Anyone care to comment?
