That is a sweeping statement about Singapore. Singapore may be
modern, speaks English, but not all people have forgotten their
roots. True, they may not know a lot about Chinese culture, their
pronounciation of Chinese words sucks, but it doesn't apply to
everybody. There is the older generation of Singaporeans who are
traditional and a group of younger Singaporeans who want to save
the Chinese culture and they may actually know more than you.
