alwaysdisturbed SG is it juz a cell wif push to tok capabilities? nokia hv some fones in sg dat supports it...but can't activate...izzit bcoz need licence?
jeg SG I think u gotta be part of a push to talk network first.. I dont think any one can have it. Maybe big organizations like the Police for example.
Pitot SG But police is using radio frequency am i rite? Unless the push to talk function enables us to use it like a walky talkie?
LazerLordz SG iDEN? Played with it before.During the launch days in late 90s. The phones had a flat fee and you had to pay more to activate the SMS and Voice call function.
alwaysdisturbed SG dun tink so.... probably for security reasons....sg is so small...if they activate it...ppl probably dun need any gsm services....
LazerLordz SG iDEN is a private network thing,But if you subscribe to the voice plan, you will be on Singtel's GSM network too.
de_middle SG Why not?...... DNA (Digital Network Access) is the company licensing this sort of equipments. The equipments fuction both as a talkie & phone. The talkie is using the push to talk fuction like those in the Nokia phones but all MSPs do not support push to talk. So our normal lines cannot support
jeg SG So basically you can still use this phone in Singapore normally (like a mobile) by just poppin in the sim card. Anyone saw this phone for sale anywhere in singapore ?
