let say your battery is low or the signal is low the hp sends you an audible alert.

Do you need this function in the 1st place? If you don't, dun bother. Many functions of a mobile phone can be deemed as unnecessary. Eg. Push to Talk, all 3 providers do not support this feature, only DNA supports it as it sells walkie-talkies not handphone equipments.

Btw, I'm using the 6230i & can't be bothered what audible alerts are for, sorry Laughing

just turn them on and see what happens when your phone goes into low batt or low signal loh...

it's not like turning them on or off will make your phone melt lidat...
