I think the car at 100K is totally affordable. But all I can say that in buying these cars, the issue is not in the price but the taxes, insurance and the other fees you have to pay. Imagine the one lump sum u have to pay for the insurance and taxes, thats why i think i rather stick to a normal 1.5 car hehehe....and one more thing, the FC is a killer. Laughing

Yup.... But i'm contemplating a WRX as it cost an arm and a leg to either TC or SC my ride. And to be frank i seriously doubt the expertise of the local aftermarket Tuners/Modifiers.

Although i really like my IS200 but the power is just not good enough. I'm hoping to raise it to say 200bhp but it's very EX & tough to get it done locally.

Another main reason is also after the accident i've had 2months ago. Somehow dun trust my ride leh. Lost confidence in the Car. Sad

insurance depends on your age & ncd & driving experience...road tax based on cc,not on horsepower...

insurance for the rex is abt 2.3k w/o NCD and rd tax is 1.5k, std for any 2L car.

The cost is not just in the car.

Fuel per week can be anything from $60 - $120.

Insurance depends on your age. W/o NCD, is likely to be $3,000 - $4,000+. Most insurers won't even quote you if you don't have NCD.

And let's not forget the very high temptation to modify both the look and the performance of the car... set aside at the very least $5,000 for that.

yah...IS 200 n WRX r consider 2l car...
but the actual cc might not be the same...
thus the rd tax will be different...even 1cc difference makes a different..
