I need help ah!!!
When you view your network connections [click on start, then my network places, then view network connections], you're supposed to see things like "blah blah blah ethernet adapter" or whatever there is. However in my case there's nothing. I can still connect to the Internet though. Why ah? Please help me!! Thanks thanks!!! Sad

does this problem persist even after restarting the comp? my network connections folder kena messed up before, but the problem was nothing compared to yours Sad

Another thing,when i tried to set up a new connection, it says something like i haven't installed my network hardware. I'm darn sure it's installed. I checked the system information and it's indeed installed.

go download.com....seach for avg anti virus...get an update...and scan...and if no virus u r safe...if got virus...too bad Very Happy but most of the time it should b the doing of the virus

AVG Virus Scanner doesn't work. It's a spyware in itself.

Remember I said; anything FREE, doesn't really works.

There are no FREE things or services.

AVG works for me,once my com kana dammn lots of virus,then it's AVG which saved me!It's more powerful then norton,

And for the network connection stuff,i got very fark up expirences about it,it will be better to reformat yr com,take out all yr harddisk,so theat it reformats yr system only,then everything will be fine just in one day,better the u keeps trying and no result,maybe even worse then before.REFORMAT! Mr. Green

eh..u pay for norton…in the end the virus scan scan out alot of virus..good..but the anti virus protector program use up almost 10-20% of ur rams…well..personally i prefer avg

I already bumped up my RAM to 1.5Gb of DDR400, running 64bit motherboard, with 256Mb AGP, 120Gb HDD.

Increase your RAM so you can run Norton Internet Security 2006, afterall, next year, Windows VISTA (64bit) will be released and needs to run on at least 1Gb of RAM, and a 64bit platform.

cannot be lah... there are too many 32 bit processors still out there... and intel is still producing pentium 4 processors today. dun forget the most powerful pentium 4 or pentium-m is still only 32 bit.

the 1 Gb requirement is more credible, i've heard the figure before.

If you do not want to use, please feel free to burn your wallet on useless bloated crap like Norton 2002 and above. Symantec ruined Norton Antivirus and Firewall after the 2001 version.

Good antiviruses can detect all viruses. AVG beat Norton in price, speed and memory consumption.

You also do not need to pay every year for some crap Norton updates.

Norton 2006 is same as 2005, but with a little features added. Its speed, memory requirement remains the same. Moreover, Norton cannot be uninstalled completely if you use the Add/Remove Programs. It will most likely crash your PC or ruin your Windows installation. You will have to use the SymNRT tool.

Windows Vista comes in 32-bit and 64-bit flavours. 32-bit processers like the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition can beat the AMD Athlon 64 (non-FX)

First, go to the Run dialog box by clicking Start then on Run. Then, type services.msc

In the following screen, scroll down to "Network Connections" and check that it is started. Or else click "Start" at the left panel.
